Road Truckers Nigeria Limited was founded and incorporated in March 1984 as an automobile service provision company by late Chief Oladele Benson, after his graduation from Wovenstone Technical College in the United Kingdom, Chief Oladele Benson worked for his dad’s company on his return to Nigeria from England, running Benson Transport Services in Lagos until he founded Road Truckers Nigeria Limited in 1984. The company was incorporated as a limited liability company with registration number 61537 by the Corporate Affairs Commission. 

Although Road Truckers Started as a workshop for the repair of trucks, it soon diversified into Auto-body design and construction of various utility vehicles such as Bullion vans, Security Patrol Vehicles and Ambulances, sale of Isuzu pickups, fleet maintenance and repair of various brands and models of vehicles, with primary emphasis on locally assembled cars such as Peugeot as well as German, American and Japanese brands of vehicles. Because clients knew they could depend on Road Truckers’ competence and reliability, they pulled Road Truckers into their areas of greatest vehicular needs. As Road Truckers continued to satisfy her clients’ needs, her scope widened, thereby increasing her service offerings as time went by.

In recognition of these developments, General Motors Nigeria Limited, a franchise of General Motors Inc, USA, appointed Road Truckers as one of its consignees in Nigeria. In 1997, Road Truckers Nigeria Limited won GM’s Best Vehicle Sale Dealer Award. Also, as a result of the company’s Performance in the sales of Peugeot brands, Road Truckers was appointed as one of its 12 leading distributors by Peugeot Automobile Nigeria (PAN) at the turn of the millennium in the year 2000.

Road Truckers won PAN’s Warranty Support Dealer of the Year in 2015 & 2016. In 2017, Road Truckers won New Vehicle Sales Dealer of the Year, Spare Parts Dealer of the Year, and after Sales Dealer of the Year 1st Runner Up.
